Yoghurt-sour cream spicy tzatziki
Monday, 24 March 2008 by Lore
Ingredients
- • 175 ml plain yoghurt
- • 3 Tbsp of sour cream
- • 1 pickled green chili pepper - finely minced
- • 2 Tbsp grated, hand squeezed gherkins (from about 5 hole gherkins)
- • 1 Tbsp fresh dill – chopped
- • Salt – to taste
- • 2 tsp grated horseradish
Directions
Mix well all ingredients except for the salt. Taste to decide how much salt it needs and then adjust seasoning accordingly. You can serve it like this but if you want to have that great taste of infused flavours refrigerate before serving.
Decorate with fresh dill.
I like it with steaks and anything that has been fried.

Yummy! I love Tzatziki with pita bread and souvlaki…
Cheers,
Rosa

28 March 2008 at 01:16Delighted to hear from you and LOVE your blog! You’ve certainly been creative with crepes - my favorites are the Parmesan crepes!! Thank you for sharing - I’m sure I will keep coming back often!

28 March 2008 at 19:17Rosa - I hear you! I love souvlaki too and of course gyros…couldn’t live without it
This tzatziki would add quite a bit of spiciness to it.
Ann - Thanks! I told you they would be a match made in heaven
Smita - Wow! Thank you for your sweet compliment!
29 March 2008 at 10:04I can’t stop staring that pretty dill laying on silky sauce… so pretty, so delish!
29 March 2008 at 10:36Thanks Gattina! I believe it looks better on a bigger width, but my blog only allows me about 380 pixels width photos :(.

Peter - Thanks and good to “see” you here!
05 May 2008 at 10:11I will take this recipe and will eat many gyros with it. Or maybe use it as a dip. Thanks for the recipe!
08 May 2008 at 17:33I think this recipe was sub-consciously made for me. I LOVE spicy things and tzatziki. There’s no way I wouldn’t like this.
09 May 2008 at 17:29Jerry - You’re welcome! May I join you while you are making gyros? Pretty please
Hillary -
Glad you like it! My hubby is a spicy fan too.
