Don’t Judge The Book By Its Cover

Look at them…aren’t they standing pretty with the pomegranate arils in the middle? And what about the chocolate dough covered in coconut, doesn’t that wake up your taste buds?

Well, I hate to ruin it for you but these went straight in the trash can because they didn’t even taste half as good as they looked. I thought I could make some changes to one of my galette recipes and turn it into a mini-cake dough but they were a total disaster. I’m not giving up though, I will not rest until I make some delicious mini-cakes out of that dough :D (I still think the chocolate-pomegranate combo is a delish idea).

  10. I love pomegranate; I love chocolate; so why not try something pomegranate-chocolate?!

I think I learn the most from my culinary disasters. Seriously. They push me to rethink, regroup and try again as a cook. (Yet I feel just awful whenever something turns out so bad I have to waste them in the trash bin. It’s really got to taste unbearable before I’ll go to that extreme.)
