  3. Oh - I looooove savoury french toast. In fact it wasn’t til I was 15 that I realised that some people make it sweet!

In fact, I had it for breakfast yesterday… let’s just say that cheese and hot sauce were involved ;)

To be frank I had to look it up in wikipedia although I knew what it was I didn’t know that it is called French toast. I prefer the sweet version. I love the song la vie en rose.

  14. Lore, that’s exactly how i make my french toast. Savoury. Back in Malaysia, the french toast is never sweet. I got the shock of my life when I had a sweet one here in the US. lol.

  17. I’ve never even had sweet French toast. I mean, I know some people make it that way, but I’m so used to the savoury version, the sweet one just seems… wrong.

  20. Lore, I am with you… ok, mine is not 5×5 but 6×6… but whenever I cry for moral-boosting food, I’ll come to see ya!

  25. JS and Cookie - I’m glad you guys think it’s a good idea :)

Kittie - Haha :D me too, but I’ve discovered the sweet version even later than you did.

Ivy - We call it egg-coated bread in my native language ;)

Notyet100, Mikky, Erin, Rosie, Usha, Jenny, Adam and Duckie - It does make life better you’ll see :)

Farina - Lol :) So did I because I’ve never pictured it as a sweet treat.

Lo - We eat it with steamed veggies and some creamy sauce over lunch sometimes :)

Ben - I sometimes have to look for my kitchen with a magnifier, otherwise I might miss it, lol :)

Natasha - Taste is very subjective. I always pick the savoury version over the sweet one :)

    Shibani - Thank you :)

Elra - You couldn’t have it any other way ;)

Gattina - Oh sweetie I wish mine was 5×5 like you understood but it’s in fact 5.5 which means only about 2.3×2.4 :(

    Dawnielle - I do, I do :D

Kristen - Glad you liked the idea :)

Sam - I wouldn’t have expected otherwise. But would you pair it with chili? ;)

    Christine - I think so too :D
