5.5-Square-Meters-Kitchen Frustration
So how do you get over the 5.5-square-meters-kitchen frustration that seems to overwhelm you every once in a while? That’s easy, you make savoury French toast! It comes with a guaranteed three hour effect
and works like a charm every single time. If you’re a savoury addict that is…
You’ll soon be able to see la vie en rose again!

Now that’s a solution to frustration! I’m taking your sage advice. I should have made French toast today.
Savory french toast, that’s a greaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat idea! I think it’s something to do even if you’re not frustated! Lol!
Oh - I looooove savoury french toast. In fact it wasn’t til I was 15 that I realised that some people make it sweet!
In fact, I had it for breakfast yesterday… let’s just say that cheese and hot sauce were involved
Oh dear - two ‘in fact’s in one comment… I really should start proof reading my comments before I hit Submit!
To be frank I had to look it up in wikipedia although I knew what it was I didn’t know that it is called French toast. I prefer the sweet version. I love the song la vie en rose.
looks yum…good moodshifter,,,:-)
beautiful photography…
That would cheer anything that ails me.
I’m all for this with your Savory french toast!!
Rosie x
Oh a savory french toast…have never tried that..what a neat idea
Mmmmm, savory french toast sounds great! It looks beautiful too!
Ah, good old comfort food
Turn the frustration into happiness indeed.
I love French Toast. Yours looks so decadant! Yummmmm!
Lore, that’s exactly how i make my french toast. Savoury. Back in Malaysia, the french toast is never sweet. I got the shock of my life when I had a sweet one here in the US. lol.
That’s a fantastic idea.
We love stuff like this!
What a way to help a nice breakfast food over into lunch or dinner territory
That is a tiny kitchen, but a good breakfast is always the best way to cope with life :p
I’ve never even had sweet French toast. I mean, I know some people make it that way, but I’m so used to the savoury version, the sweet one just seems… wrong.
The picture is stunning Lore.
This will knock my jet-leg out, I utterly will eat it with that chile!
Lore, I am with you… ok, mine is not 5×5 but 6×6… but whenever I cry for moral-boosting food, I’ll come to see ya!
The best food comes from the worst kitchens! Trust me on this one! ;-0
What a great idea! Savory French toast - never would have thought to do this!
The real kick for me over French toast is Maple syrup… I simply go mad for the stuff, no problems with morale in those instances i can assure you.
I love French Toast. Savoury French Toast is even better!
JS and Cookie - I’m glad you guys think it’s a good idea
Kittie - Haha
me too, but I’ve discovered the sweet version even later than you did.
Ivy - We call it egg-coated bread in my native language
Notyet100, Mikky, Erin, Rosie, Usha, Jenny, Adam and Duckie - It does make life better you’ll see
Farina - Lol
So did I because I’ve never pictured it as a sweet treat.
Lo - We eat it with steamed veggies and some creamy sauce over lunch sometimes
Ben - I sometimes have to look for my kitchen with a magnifier, otherwise I might miss it, lol
Natasha - Taste is very subjective. I always pick the savoury version over the sweet one
Shibani - Thank you
Elra - You couldn’t have it any other way
Gattina - Oh sweetie I wish mine was 5×5 like you understood but it’s in fact 5.5 which means only about 2.3×2.4
Dawnielle - I do, I do
Kristen - Glad you liked the idea
Sam - I wouldn’t have expected otherwise. But would you pair it with chili?
Christine - I think so too
